Personnel Safety Interlock (PSI) System

🔒 Closing the Hutch Door

  1. Press the orange "Search" button

  • Beacon flashes orange & green

  • The alarm sounds for 15 seconds

2. Ensure all personnel exit the hutch

3. Close and lock the hutch door

Turn key anticlockwise to 12 o’clock

4. Insert key into door lock slot and turn to ON

  • Must complete within 15 seconds 

  • Beacon turns orange if successful

  • If timeout: beacon turns green → restart from step 1

5. Press green "ON" button on magnetic door lock

6. Push door firmly closed

  • Green light = magnetic lock engaged

  • Red light = lock failure → PSI blocks shutter

7. Turn on MBS

  • Confirm "X-RAY ON" light is lit

  • Beacon turns red
